As your Assemblymember, founding Mayor of Elk Grove, and lifelong public servant, I’ve dedicated over 30 years fighting to protect our communities while creating opportunities and good-paying jobs within the region.
I’ve worked tirelessly with community members to address inequity within our system. From families who are struggling to make ends meet and small businesses and farmers coping with a pandemic induced recession – I am committed to representing you.
In the State Assembly, I’ve worked to negotiate for better wages, eliminate pay disparity for women and people of color, protect pensions and benefits, and bring good-paying jobs to the area. Moreover, I’ve voted to fund local transportation projects, create access to affordable housing, develop a new homeless shelter with comprehensive health care services and added a new food bank facility to our region.
Due to the pandemic, Californians are facing additional challenges. For this reason, we must double down on our investment in small business development, workforce training, education, after-school programs and childcare to help families get back on their feet. Additionally, we need better incentives and tax relief for businesses to bring good-paying jobs to our residents.
More than ever, the people of Lodi need trusted and experienced leadership. I’m proud to be endorsed by the California Democratic Party, teachers, police and firefighters, state employees, elected officials, and dozens of community leaders across our region.
